TAKING NEW CLIENTS (IN TEXAS) Sessions in ENGLISH, PORTUGUÊS, or ESPAÑOL
Genuinely, I am a people advocate. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Associate (LPC-A, supervised by Anne Hardegree, LPC-S) in the state of Texas; an executive consultant, and coach.
My mission is to accompany clients in their pursuit of mental serenity. For many years, I have helped professionals realize career goals and navigate life transitions.
Through individual or group talk therapy, my clients and I work together to identify the impacts of past and current distress while reframing limiting thoughts and learning adaptive behaviors. Using various therapeutic approaches (trauma-informed techniques, psychodynamics, schema therapy, attachment theory, and existential methodologies), I treat symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, confusion, or disconnect. In my practice, I coach clients in achieving self-valorization, implementing problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
I am multi-cultural practitioner based in Austin, Texas.
For fifteen years I have worked with professionals, executives, experienced and rising managers, members of staff, entrepreneurs, and college graduates from all industries. We have focused on developing their self-awareness and confidence, their acquiring of social skills, and the portray of personal brands that align values, personality traits, competencies, life and career goals. Career counseling and coaching involves assessing worldviews, which are determined by specific chronological or psychological stages.
My work is founded on principles of positive psychology: we all have potential to unveil and a purpose to fulfill. We can rule thoughts and behaviors. We have the power to benefit from such resources and construct wellbeing.
Because I personally experienced great help from therapy, I know it works.
I am a curious mental health practitioner who continuously researches the human mind and soul. Licensed as an Associate Mental Health Counselor in the state of Texas, I have been an ICF accredited Executive, Leadership, and Career Coach for more than fifteen years. Previously, I did consulting work for global and national corporations, along with SMEs, a professional phase that taught me about the dynamics of people within systemic, business settings.
Empathy, excellence, enthusiasm, and committed service lead all I do.
Along with a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, I hold graduate diplomas in Positive Psychology, Business and Marketing, and Organizational Change and have completed certifications in Stress and Resilience, NLP, social skills, business communications, human relations, and more.
Originally from South America (Venezuela), I am an adventurer who relocated internationally five times. One of the gems I have acquired in life is to be able to communicate in different languages, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and a bit of French.

Trauma-informed, person-centered techniques are core for my practice. With an integrative view of therapy, I utilize cognitive behavioral techniques (CBT) which involve the management of emotions, in combination with methodologies to explore change and decision-making (DBT). As I believe in human psychodynamics, I promote the unveiling of self-limiting cognitive schemas and the core beliefs that shape motivation.
Existential and positive psychology theories also inform my talks in session. Developing awareness of values, purpose, strengths, potential, and fears are part of my clients' work. My intention in every encounter is that clients leave with a solid sense of accomplishment, a breakthrough, or a new life tool.
Both methodologies combined provide with profound self-discovery and concrete life skills learning. Therapy is a courageous process of recollection, a intimate journey of daring discovery that starts inwards and extends to most realms of life. Coaching supports the process with tools. In therapy, awareness turns into conciliation, learning, and improvement of the relationship with the self and with others. Healing through psychotherapy is about acknowledging all sorts of personal emotions, pervasive thinking patterns, or maladaptive behaviors.
The length of time it takes to see results from counseling sessions varies depending on the individual and the issues being addressed. Some clients may see improvements after just a few sessions, while others may require longer-term therapy.
Individual sessions last 50 minutes while group counseling dynamics are normally programmned for 90 or 120 minutes.
In-person or online, 50-min individual sessions are charged at $150. In my weekly calendar, I include some time for pro-bono work or sliding-scale clients. Group counseling (with a minimun of 4 attendees and a maximun of 8) lasts 8 weeks and is priced between $80 and $100 per session (90 to 120 minutes each).
I work with out-of-pocket clients and do provide a Super Bill at the end of the month, if requested by those whose insurance companies would reimburse. Before booking an appointment, I suggest calling the insurance company and inquiring about "out-of-network" therapy benefits, and how to submit reinbursement requests.
You can submit payments using cash or checks, via Pay Pal, Zelle, Venmo . Payments are due at the time of the appointment. Group counseling programs are billed in two installments, before the first and forth sessions.
My specialty is assisting adults in their early 20s, up to their 60s and more. My clients consciously seek mental stability and aim to organize internal resources, improve interpersonal patterns, and ultimately achieve career and life goals.
Yes. My guiding principle is building up trust-based partnerships to form the critical foundation for all successful counseling. I meet individually with clients who seek a supportive, private alliance.
As a group facilitator, I aim to create an environment where all can benefit and grow from the interaction while honoring the needs and experiences of each member. Stillness, compassion and deep listening are the instruments I use to achieve positive therapy sessions.
30+ years of corporate experience in consulting, coaching and management set the standards for my clinical practice. My personality, values, and aptitudes add to an innate capacity to connect.
I am a resident therapist in Texas holding an associate Licensure in Mental Health Counseling, contingent on a Master's of Arts in Counseling. I am a professional Career Development and Executive Coach certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF). My educational background includes graduate diplomas in Positive Psychology, Business and Marketing, and Organizational Change along with certifications in Stress and Resilience, NLP, social skills, business communications, human relations, and more.
